The BMW R nineT Scrambler draws inspiration from the off-road motorcycles that gained popularity in the 1950s and 1960s. Its classic scrambler styling pays homage to the golden era of motorcycling. The R nineT Scrambler is equipped with a boxer engine.
In the photos we find two of BMW’s four current R nineT variants, the Scrambler and the Urban G/S, in the midst of receiving off-road oriented updates, the most obvious of which are the addition of more dirt-compliant, 21” spoked front rims, replacing the standard 19” cast wheels on the current variants.

I know that the R NineT is a bit "agricultural" but wasn't really expecting this sort of shaking. Mine does this irrespective of speed and/or RPM. Surely, between 3-4k things seem to improve a bit but after 1:30h riding the whole body feels numb like after a session on a whole body vibration machine at the gym.

Off-road, the systems will give a lot of confidence to riders who are green to riding the brown, but experienced dirt-bikers will delight in just how much fun such an unlikely bike can be on the loose stuff with Aunty Safety switched off. At 820mm the Scrambler’s seat height is 35mm taller than that of the R nineT Roadster. A low Scrambler is Max Power – 40 horsepower at 7,500rpm. Max Torque – 43 Nm at 6,000rpm. Don’t worry it isn’t just Triumph that has the monopoly on modern scramblers; the Fantic Caballero Scrambler 500 is another cool offering. This modern scrambler is very capable off-road, more of a dual-sport setup in throwback scrambler disguise. The BMW R nineT Urban G/S is the latest motorcycle to receive the famous Gelande/Strasse (off-road/road) moniker. On the face of it, this may seem like a strange decision from the Bavarian manufacturer. After all, it is a very different bike to the others in the GS line up.
